Ways to Give

“Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.”

Twelve Ways of Giving

Lutheran Services Carolinas serves people across the Carolinas not as a business venture, but as an expression of faith. Lutheran Services Carolinas and its programs and affiliates are not-for-profit organizations operating under the 501(c)(3) license of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law.

1

Donate now

Make a one-time gift now or join LSC’s recurring gift program, Everyday Heroes

Use a credit / debit card or by bank draft.

2

Send a check!

Mail your gift to Lutheran Services Carolinas, PO Box 947, Salisbury, NC 28145. Make your check payable to Lutheran Services Carolinas. In the memo field, please indicate if you wish to direct your gift to Senior Senior Services or Child and Family Services.

3

Make a gift of stock or other securities

Gifts of appreciated securities may provide valuable tax benefits to the donor and are most welcomed by LSC.

4

Give a gift of real estate

To learn more about donating land or buildings, contact one of the LSC development staff.

5

Make a planned gift

Making LSC the beneficiary of a will, 401k plan, or life insurance policy is among the easiest and most helpful ways to advance the LSC mission. Learn more by contacting development staff today.

6

Honor and Memory Gifts

Donations to LSC are lasting ways to honor friends and family on special occasions, while memorial donations can be a thoughtful and caring way to express sympathy. If you indicate that your gift is in honor or memory of someone special, LSC will send a card to the individual being honored or the family of the deceased.

7

Matching Gifts

Several companies offer to match your gifts to LSC. Please check with your human resources department to see if your gifts can be matched.

8

Some Thrivent members may be able to direct charitable gifts to LSC. Visit Thrivent.com to see if you qualify.

9

Workplace Campaigns

Many workplace campaigns allow you to direct payroll donations to any non-profit organization of your choice. Contact your human resources department if you have questions about donating through a workplace campaign.

10

Hold an Event

Encourage your church, club, group, school or fraternal organization to hold an event and dedicate the proceeds to LSC. Walks, runs, fish frys, bake sales, carnivals, auctions - all are great ways to have fun and support the LSC ministries.  Contact a development officer to learn more.

11

"Be a Light"

LSC families, residents, and volunteers are often looking for ways to do more and LSC’s Be a Light initiative explains a variety of ways to give in support of individual senior services communities. Contact an administrator to learn more. To give to specific child and family programs, contact one of the development officers below to discuss opportunities for support. Let your light shine!
