Teepa Snow will share her wisdom about dementia in Hickory on Thursday, Jan. 12. There will be two sessions that day at Trinity Village. The first, from 8:30-11:30 a.m., is geared toward professional caregivers, although it can benefit family caregivers as well. This session will include advice on programming and services that meet the needs of those affected by dementia and address dementia-related issues from different points of view, from those with dementia themselves to caregiving staff and families.
The afternoon session, from 12:30-3:30, is geared for families and caregivers and will focus on how to communicate with someone living with dementia.
Known for her engaging and entertaining presentations, Teepa Snow is one of the world's leading advocates and educators for anyone living with dementia. Snow has more than 35 years of clinical experience in the field of geriatrics and dementia care.
